We started the Vote Equity Project by asking one big question:

How can we make Chicago work for all of us?

In response, you sent us 262 ideas. Some were similar, so 186 unique ideas moved on to the next round, where 2,126 of you voted 52,271 times to help us develop a set of priorities for the city’s future.

Here is what you said.

Methodology

Curious to learn more about how we got here? The Vote Equity Project used an innovative process for voting and ranking ideas. The process was designed and managed by the University of Illinois at Chicago's Institute for Policy and Civic Engagement. The methodology report below describes the process and the reasons for its unique design. You can also see the full list of 186 ideas that were published on the Vote Equity ballot.
