How can we make voting more equitable?
During the Vote Equity Project, Chicagoans shared many ideas to even the playing field for fair and equitable elections. One of these ideas included a rank-choice voting system.
To try out what Ranked Choice Voting would look like in Chicago, our collaborators at Reform for Illinois have built this tool to see what the results of a rank-choice election would be in our city. Read more about Ranked Choice Voting, how it could help avoid the “spoiler effect”, and how it’s been implemented in other states and cities on FairVote’s website here.
Use the buttons to add choices to the ballot, and then drag to arrange them in order of preference with your most preferred at the top and your least preferred at the bottom.
